Perennial Freight, one of Ireland’s largest transport companies, has strengthened its fleet with the addition of six new Mercedes-Benz Actros 2545LS tractor units.
Delivered in Perennial’s distinctive cobalt blue livery, the trucks will be put to work immediately at the company’s Taghmon base in Wexford, from where it operates daily services across Ireland and the UK, complementing the existing number of Actros units already in their fleet . The new units feature 2.5m Streamspace cab, flat floor, predictive powertrain control, high performance engine brake and come equipped with the latest Fleetboard telematics system.
Commenting, Mercedes-Benz commercial vehicles sales manager, Fergus Conheady said: “Mercedes-Benz is proud to supply these trucks to one of the country’s leading transport companies, knowing that Perennial is an approved carrier for some of Ireland’s largest “Blue Chip” companies. They can rely on the proven resilience and excellent fuel efficiencies that Actros provides”.
