RSA issues ECWVTA advice

The Road Safety Authority is advising vehicle manufacturers and retailers that from October 29, type approval will extend to completed, multi-stage built, Heavy Commercial Vehicles (categories N2 and N3) and special-purpose vehicles of categories N1, N2, N3, M2, M3, O1, O2, O3 and O4.

From this date, all new vehicles, including trailers but excluding agricultural vehicles, will require type approval certification in order to be sold or registered in Ireland or any EU Member State.
