Gallagher confirmed as Master of Ceremonies at Irish Auto Trade Awards

Former Dragon and Presidential candidate Sean Gallagher has been confirmed as the Master of Ceremonies at the Irish Auto Trade Awards, which takes place in the Citywest Hotel, Dublin on the night of Sunday, November 9.

Mr. Gallagher is best known as co-founder and former CEO of Ireland’s largest home technology company, Smarthomes. He has also been a popular investor on the TV Show, Dragons Den. 

He is recognised nationally as a champion for small business. Over the last 20 years, he has successfully trained and mentored hundreds of start-up and emerging entrepreneurs.

A finalist in the Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year Awards, Sean holds a Master’s Degree in Business from the University of Ulster. 

A strong believer in the power of positive stories, Sean writes in the Sunday Independent, where, each week, he profiles successful entrepreneurs whose stories he hopes will help inform and inspire the next generation of entrepreneurs and job creators. 

Sean has served as Chairman of Drogheda Port Company and as a member of the Boards of FAS and Intertrade Ireland. He also served as Chair of Intertrade Ireland’s Equity Network Initiative helping to promote Venture Capital and Business Angel Investment in early stage businesses.

While ultimately coming second among a field of 7 candidates, he is credited with having run one of the most dynamic and effective election campaigns in Irish Political history.
