More categories and more prizes at Mondello truck Show
One of the biggest attractions of the Mondello Truck Show to be held at Mondello Park on Saturday 5 and Sunday 6 July is the huge numbers of static trucks on display. And for the 2014 running of the big event at the County Kildare motor racing circuit, the static competitions have a number of categories added with more prizes on offer.
As before, there are numerous classes for trucks of all ages and for both fleet and individual owners with each category keenly contested. Among the new categories added include T04 – Best Recovery Unit, which will honour the true ‘Knights of the Road’ that come to the rescue of stranded trucks 24/7, 365 days a year. Owners and drivers of vans and light trucks now have a category to enter for the Best Light Commercial Awards.
Also new for this year’s event, is the awarding of silver and bronze trophies for all categories with the exception of T01 – Top Truck 2014 and T14 – Mondello Park Special Award.
“After the successful return of the Mondello Truck Show last year, we saw just how extremely popular the Static Display Competitions are in the event and now we have added categories and more prizes for transport companies and truck owners to turn out their vehicles in the best shape possible and get rewarded for their effort,” stated John Morris, Managing Director, Mondello Park. “We look forward to another big turnout next month.”
“The Mondello Truck Show differs from others, in that our purpose built facility and on-track action provides a unique location for the commercial vehicle industry to display its wares and for the road transport community to celebrate their profession,” added John.
All entrants can enter a maximum of 3 categories per vehicle. Entry fee is €30 for the first category contested and €10 each per additional category. As an added bonus trophies on offer, all competitors will be entered in a draw to win highly sought after Mondello Park Supercar Experience Course, where a chance to drive a Porsche awaits!
As with all entries, the vehicles must be taxed, insured and DOE Cert/Road Haulage Licence where required.
