ContiTech revamps belt drive component website

ContiTech has completely revamped its website for belt drive components for the automotive aftermarket. „We have reduced the content to the essentials and structured the site more clearly,“ says Markus Pirsch, Head of the Marketing Service. A navigation bar provides an overview of the product groups and services. The Product Information Center (PIC) and the online application guide are also incorporated in the navigation bar. Result: the site is clearer and easier to navigate – and also more visually appealing.

The site can also be accessed from the ContiTech and Continental websites – the simplest way, however, is to go to it directly via www.contitech.de/aam. The site is also available in 16 languages. New additions are: Romanian, Dutch, Croatian, Finnish, Greek and Czech.

Apart from the revamped website, the online application guide and the Product Information Center (PIC) are also being overhauled at present to ensure a seamless fit with the design and user-friendliness of the new website. The new online guide will be published shortly, and the new PIC will be launched in the fall. „Like the website, the new PIC will also be available in 16 different languages,“ says Jens Heitkemper from the Marketing Service. „The 2.5 million or so hits that the site got in 2013 show how popular the PIC is – our aim in adding the new languages is to enable it to be used by even more markets.“ Access still could not be simpler: once the article number has been input at www.contitech.de/pic, the system displays all the relevant information which is always up to date – without any need at all to register or log in first. A code from the product packaging is required in order to download fitting instructions, known as „Technical Instructions“. Mobile devices can access a mobile version of the PIC directly via the QR code on the product packaging.
