NGK Spark Plugs (UK) Ltd has been partner to the British Rally Championship for many years and this commitment continues a successful relationship between the two parties.

Tim Howes, Deputy General Manager – Supply Chain & Technical Service for NGK Spark Plugs (UK) Ltd, said: “NGK continues to be heavily involved in motorsport at all levels, supporting new and established competitors alike.

“Being involved with the BRC is fantastic for us, it is vibrant, competitive and testament to the fact that it has delivered new British talents Elfyn Evans and Kris Meeke to the sharp end of the World Rally Championship.”

The NGK Spark Plugs BRC Challenge Trophy is the leading championship for young up and coming drivers and the more experienced who want some fun and a competitive arena.
Following seven qualifying MSA British Rally Championship rallies, a mix of gravel and asphalt surfaces make up eight scoring opportunities in the NGK-supported series, providing ample opportunity to catch the action in each country of the British Isles.

NGK Spark Plugs (UK) Ltd is an original equipment (OE) parts supplier to most of the world’s leading vehicle manufacturers (VMs) with whom it works hand-in-hand to produce parts that are manufactured to meet their specific requirements.

It invests around eight percent of world turnover into R&D to ensure that it can constantly develop spark plugs, glow plugs and NTK Lambda sensors that deliver the optimum performance and reliability that VMs demand for their increasingly sophisticated vehicles. Last year it also successfully introduced a range of ignition coils into the automotive aftermarket.

In addition, the company also has a long and successful heritage in two and four-wheel motorsport and supplies parts to many of the world’s leading riders, drivers and teams.
