Mitsubishi wins the best 4X4 car derived van of the year
Mitsubishi has once again won an award at the prestigious What Van? awards; further highlighting the continued success and appeal of the Outlander Commercial model in the Mitsubishi line-up. The WhatVan? Awards are decided by the editorial team of the UK’s leading light commercial vehicle title, and reward the top performers in the van industry.
For businesses that need to shift loads but don’t necessarily require the full capability of a truck, the Outlander Commercial does just the job. It is bristling with clever technology such as Active Stability and Traction Control (M-ASTC); Auto Stop & Go (AS&G); Hill Start Assist (HSA); and an adjustable speed limiter. Climate control and cruise control come as standard, there’s a radio/CD/MP3 player with six speakers and front electric windows. Airbags, daytime running lights, 16-inch steel wheels and cruise control also feature.
Paul Barker, Editor of WhatVan? said: “Mitsubishi’s New Outlander 4Work sets new standards in the niche sector that combine van practicality with genuine go-anywhere ability. The levels of refinement, quality and equipment, not to mention the Outlander’s good looks, mean it’s a worthy 2014 What Van? Awards victory for Mitsubishi, a company that specialises in 4X4 vans.”
The 4X4 Car Derived Van of the Year award completes another impressive year for the Mitsubishi commercial range, with continued support from major UK Fleet customers that include the Environment Agency, BT Fleet, Highways Agency and Anglian Water.
