J & S Automotive expands Exide range
J & S Automotive is increasing its coverage of the Irish car parc with new Exide AGM and ECM batteries. The company’s new products cover start-stop vehicles from VW, Audi, Toyota, Ford and a range of other leading brands.
A new AGM and ECM catalogue will be available in the coming weeks, and the new data has already been added to Autocat+, Tech DOC, Exide’s online catalogue and its iPhone app.
Exide say that their AGM batteries have around three times the lifecycle durability of standard batteries. They are “parts of matching quality” and are designed for cars with start-stop and regenerative braking systems. They are also used in standard vehicles to increase endurance and performance.
Exide’s AGM batteries now cover the Audi A1, A4, A5 and Q5, the BMW 5, 6, 7, X5 and X6, the VW Golf, Polo and Touareg, and a range of other vehicles. The Chrysler Voyager, Dodge Caliber and Jeep Cherokee are also among the most popular models covered by the extended range.
Exide’s ECM batteries will now cover the Ford Fiesta, Galaxy, Focus, Mondeo, B-Max, C-Max and S-Max, and a range of other models including the Toyota iQ and Mazda CX-5.
Exide is an OE supplier to brands such as Ford, Fiat and BMW, and has manufactured batteries for leading start-stop vehicles. The company believes this experience enables it to create better batteries for the aftermarket, and to make its resellers more competitive.
“Demand for start-stop batteries is increasing, putting our resellers in a great position to reach new customers,” said Alan Gaynor, of J&S Automotive. “The motor factors we supply stand to benefit from our OE experience, our increasing coverage of the Irish car parc, and our commitment to making the best batteries on the market.
