More modern and safer – that is the overall picture of the ContiTech Power Transmission Group’s new packagings for the Automotive Aftermarket. The change was prompted by the introduction of Continental’s new corporate design.
„In its new CI, ContiTech is illustrating its innovativeness and capabilities – the new packagings are symbols of this,“ says Product Manager René Borries. The first product to use the new design are the timing belt kits plus water pump. The layout is more modern, and the pictogram has also been replaced by a photo of the product.
The inside of the packagings for timing belt kits plus water pump has also been optimized: here you will now find two cartons – one for the timing belt kit and the other for the water pump. By packaging the two elements individually, the contents are better protected and guarded against any sliding around and damage.
Enhanced product protection was also the aim of converting the packaging for timing belt kits. In future, a partition will be used to provide optimal protection for the individual components if this extra protection is required. This also has an impact on the format: „Whereas the packaging previously had an upright design, it is now flat and enables better product presentation and optimized removal of the product because of the large lid,“ explains Borries.
The packagings for all the Power Transmission Group’s other products will also be gradually converted from January 2014 onwards.
