Top panellists line-up for Commercial Vehicle Forum
Established last year by CV Show partners SMMT, RHA and SOE, the 2013 Commercial Vehicle Forum in the UK will present a new perspective on the UK road transport sector, with a line-up of insightful speakers.
Chaired by broadcaster Justin Webb, the discussion and debate event will be at the British Museum on the afternoon of 22 October.
Joining 200 of the road transport sector’s most senior executives, panellists from national media, market analysts and government will debate industry’s hottest topics with leaders from the worlds of technology, retail and logistics.
The interactive discussion session will tackle two key areas: business efficiency in road transport and how the UK can set the benchmark for the European road transport sector.
Operators and vehicle manufacturers are constantly adapting to an environment of lower margins, more stringent legislation and higher customer expectations. Discussion will address specific challenges and opportunities for companies in the sector and how best to approach issues of sustainability, compliance and technology integration.
The half-day event will examine how a thriving road transport sector is vital to the UK economy with a second session of debate concentrating on how government policy, skills shortages, the changing commercial environment and funding challenges are impacting the industry’s ability to boost economic recovery in addition to leading change in Europe.
