DENSO launches Spark Plug and Glow Plug Catalogue 2013/14
DENSO has published its new Spark Plug & Glow Plug catalogue 2013/14, containing thousands of additional, OE quality aftermarket applications for Europe’s newest and most popular vehicles.
The catalogue includes additions to DENSO’s pioneering Twin Tip (TT) Spark Plug range, as well as new part references for its premium Iridium Power range and Standard Nickel range.
The comprehensive, easy-to-use catalogue provides completely updated details of both DENSO ignition programmes. The data quality and visual presentation have also been enhanced.
The Glow Plugs section of the new catalogue includes 317 new vehicle applications, including the Citroën C3, Ford Fiesta, Mini Clubman, Mitsubishi Outlander and Volvo C70 II. The expansion brings the total number of Glow Plug applications to 4,302. With 94 additional OEM numbers also included, the range remains one of the most extensive in the aftermarket.
Martin Pring, manager, DENSO Aftermarket Sales confirmed: “The diesel market across Europe is growing at a substantial rate, given economic circumstances. As new registrations continue to increase, so does the opportunity for distributors and garages to serve the inevitable rise in aftermarket growth. The launch of additional Glow Plug applications in this new catalogue will be especially welcome to our customers as we enter the peak winter period for Glow Plug demand.”
Other additions include 1,600 new Spark Plug applications, including the BMW 1 (F20, F21), Mazda CX-5, Peugeot 206+ and Toyota Auris – bringing the total number of DENSO replacement Spark Plug applications to 11,389. There are also 2,900 new OEM Spark Plug numbers. A number of key vehicles have their DENSO Spark Plug types listed for the first time, such as the IK24 for the newest generation A6, A7 and A8 from Audi; and the ITV22 for the Ford Fiesta VI and Focus III. The recently announced extensions to DENSO’s Twin Tip (TT), Iridium Tough, Super Ignition and Iridium Power ranges are also included.
Pring added: “As well as the range extensions, the new catalogue also contains more consolidated, cleaner data than ever before to help customers pinpoint the exact part for their needs. For example, standard vehicle model names are used across the two programmes. The Spark Plug section also includes a new technology upgrade table, a listing of the corresponding LPG plug for each vehicle, and clearer listings of TT-connected applications.”
