ContiTech extends air actuator range

ContiTech has broadened its range of fixed-connection air actuators with the addition of larger dimensions up to 570mm.

ContiTech’s tried and tested C-series products now also includes air actuators with a diameter of up to 570 mm.

“The new XXL actuators can be used in places where forces in excess of 100kN are required,” explains Dr. Olaf Kluth, head of the segment at ContiTech Air Spring Systems. “Our customers benefit in particular from the easy assembly of this functional pneumatic module.” A further advantage: With the large C types, tilt angles of up to 30° are possible. The rodless construction functions without friction seals, thereby preventing a stick-slip effect. The simple design allows for cost-effective complete solutions.”

ContiTech air actuators are used in nearly all branches of industry. They are highly durable, have a long service life and are cost-effective. The design of the dimensionally stable elements is comparable to that of a tyre or an air spring. They are used to produce extreme pneumatic force where little space is available for installation and exceptionally harsh conditions prevail.

In addition to the C series, the ContiTech product range also includes removable air actuators (D types), air actuators with bead ring connecting parts (R series), and tube air actuators with plastic connecting parts (S series).
