Comline reports significant interest following CV Show

Comline Auto Parts, represented in Ireland by National Autoparts attended the Commercial Vehicle Show for the first time at Birmingham’s NEC last month and is reporting significant interest in its braking systems.

Comline gave customers and installers demonstrations as to how its specifies and manufactures brake pads from its two factories and, because it is a  manufacturer, Comline can supply brake pads from a Smart car right up to a 44 ton truck!

Attending the stand in Birmingham was Comline’s ‘Doctor of Friction’ Dr Keith Ellis who will be a key speaker at Eurobrake 2013 in Dresden, where he will discuss the topic of motor cycle braking.

All Comline and Allied Nippon brake pads are specified to be ECE R-90 certified and are supplied with the innovative RMR laminate backing shims.

Comline’s Marketing and Communications Manager, Simon Hutchinson commented: “The RMR shim sits on the back plate and its main purpose is noise insulation. Shims designed using the rubber-metal-rubber layer configuration utilise a new generation of rubber fibre and are proven to offer a more substantial noise reduction, particularly during the ‘bedding-in’ period. This advanced shim also employs a revolutionary ‘clip-on’ design which helps attach the shim to the back plate more securely; ensuring that it doesn’t rotate within the caliper, thereby maximising noise reduction efficiency.”

Comline’s CV Brake Disc range was demonstrated too which consists of 150 part numbers, covering over 95 per cent of the European truck market.

Reports suggested that the Wednesday footfall at the show was the busiest and Comline certainly had more interest from the industry on this day. Next stop for Comline will be the Automechanika show in Frankfurt in 2014!

Comline is a fast growing distributor of own brand replacement parts for European, Japanese, and Korean passenger cars and light vans.
