Hankook unveils Alphatread at CV Show

Premium tyre manufacturer Hankook unveiled several new commercial tyre products at the Commercial Vehicle Show including the bead to bead retread truck tyre the ‘Alphatread’.

Hankook unveiled several new commercial tyre ranges including the new environmentally conscious bead to bead retread truck tyre range, the ‘Alphatread’.

The ever increasing demands in the area of environmental friendliness and continued pressure upon fleets to reduce their running costs have led to the development of the new Alphatread range.  The Hankook Alphatread has been specifically designed to maximise mileage as the casings of Hankook’s 1st life A1 grade tyres are used to mirror Hankook’s existing tyre patterns to produce the Alphatread tyre.

The Alphatread R-DH05 shall initially consist of two drive axle tyre sizes, 295/80 R22.5 and 315/80 R22.5 which shall provide excellent wet and dry performance with a wide profile for stability and unique compound for long lasting wear.  The Alphatread R-TH22 trailer axle tyre shall be available in 385/65 R22.5 proving a bespoke 5 rib tread design and cool running compound for optimum performance.

The Alphatread range boats a unique tear-resistant tread design maximising durability and the wide flat profile improves stability and reduces uneven wear.  The deep groves help to ensure maximised mileage potential in all weather conditions.
